Trust & Estates Attorney - New York, NY

Location: New York City

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Trust & Estates Attorney to join its New York office. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in complex estate planning, trust and estate administration, and asset protection planning. While a business background is a plus, it is not required. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected firm and work on sophisticated matters with high-net-worth clients.

Key Responsibilities

Advise clients on estate planning strategies and asset protection

Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related documents

Manage the administration of estates and trusts, including probate and tax matters

Provide counsel on estate and gift tax implications and planning opportunities

Collaborate with clients and financial professionals to ensure long-term planning goals are met

Qualifications & Skills

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Active member of the New York Bar in good standing

5+ years of experience in trusts and estates law

LLM in Taxation or CPA designation required

Strong experience with estate, gift, and generation-skipping tax planning

Excellent drafting, communication, and client service skills
