Job Description

The Coffeehouse Barista (CB) for Southeastern University is responsible to the Senior House Manager and the CBs primary responsibility is customer service. The CB is also responsible for ringing up customers, making drinks, food prep, and attending the up-keep of the store. The CB is charged with producing and maintaining a positive and clean atmosphere at the coffeehouse.

Essential Functions

• Provide excellent customer service
• Make and serve drinks
• Prep and serve food options
• Ring up customers at the register
• Responsible for a variety of cleaning duties
• Responsible to maintain the atmosphere at the coffeehouse both behind the counter and in the customer area

• Must be a currently enrolled SEU student.
• Preferred knowledge of the coffee industry and previous experience in working at a coffeehouse.
• Must exhibit self-motivation and discipline in order to regularly set and achieve goals.
• Interpersonal and networking skills with large groups and individuals.
• Ability to maintain a high level of excellence and professionalism in all circumstances.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
