Title: Production Scheduler Business Unit: Medeco Security Locks Location: Salem, VA (on-site) Department: Operations Shift: 1st Job Class: Hourly/Non-Exempt Status: Full-Time Reports To: Operations Manager Are you a detail-oriented planner who thrives in a fast-paced, high-precision environment? Join our team as a Production Scheduler and play a key role in supporting the production of high-security locks that help create a safer and more open world. At our Salem facility, we specialize in precision CNC manufacturing, producing industry-leading security solutions. As part of our mission-driven team, you’ll help ensure that every component is delivered on time and to exacting standards. What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and manage production schedules across multiple departments.
  • Coordinate with Managers and Team Leads to communicate order priorities and scheduling updates.
  • Review and distribute daily production and shipment schedules.
  • Track progress, monitor inventory levels, and report on production status and challenges.
  • Serve as a liaison between Operations and Customer Care to ensure timely information flow.
  • Support inventory management, including cycle counts and stock level coordination.
  • Step in as a backup for Team Leads and fellow Schedulers when needed.
  • Uphold company standards, policies, and procedures in all tasks.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); college degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • Experience in a precision manufacturing environment with a solid understanding of inventory control and production processes.
  • Experience working in ERP systems— JD Edwards experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention-to-detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Quick learner with a knack for picking up new systems and tools.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives on collaboration, and wants to play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly. The most competitive candidate will have 3 years of experience as a production scheduler using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool like JD Edwards.
