Understanding of cochlear mechanics under normal and pathological conditions. Familiar with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) as a way to visualize and functionally assess the structures. Familiar with using OCT and vibrometer combined.

Your Role on the Team

Under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), responsibilities are related to a project focused on characterizing novel mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease. Characterization will focus mainly on tissue processing for immunohistochemical and biochemical analyses. Responsibilities include the following: collection of mice tissue, processing and staining of tissues by immunohistochemistry; conducting routine molecular biology assays, such as Western blots, ELISAs and PCR; maintaining data records.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Willingness to work with animals (mice).
  
  

Preferred

• Experience in histology/microscopy.
• Experience in animal behavior.
• Previous laboratory experience.
