Pay Range: $20.55to $29.82 

Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

FOOD PROTECTION OPERATIONS

Food Protection Analyst, La Crosse, WI: The Food Protection Operations is looking for a self – motivated Food Protection Analyst.

Responsibilities:

• Support managerial leadership
• Assist in implementing and maintain policies and programs that support education, operations, and research that enhances the safety and quality of Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Food Supply chain
• Promotes the delivery of safe, high quality food to all our guests.
• Maintain and monitor distribution center and ice plant quality records and programs.
• Service as back – up to the Food Protection Manager – Distribution Division
• Provide feedback and recommendations on plans of action to minimize food safety and quality risks.
• Assist with the review of all audit findings and advise on corrective actions to ensure compliance with internal and external auditing programs.
• Analyze food protection reports and trends. Reports include:
  • Product hold notifications
  • Receiving rejection reports
  • Product complaint reports
  • Convenience Transport high temperature reports
• Coordinate pest control and sanitation programs at the Distribution Center and Ice Plant

Qualifications: 

• 4-year degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
• 2- 4 years of experience in the food industry with a strong interest in food protection and public health
• Preventative Controls Qualified Individual for Human Food (PCQ) Certification, or ability to earn within 6 months.
• Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification
• Driver’s license and good driving record with ability to travel
• Knowledge of Kwik Trip, Inc. internal structure, systems, mission, and vison
• Knowledge of Kwik Trip, Inc. food Protection policies, procedures, and good manufacturing practices
• Knowledge of Kwik Trip, Inc. third-party/FSDL auditing program, product complain process and their respective corrective action plans.
• Understanding of the federal food code and appropriate state food codes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• High level of confidentiality
• Attention to accuracy and detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, daytime hours; however, it may include occasional evenings and weekends as necessary. Occasional travel will also be necessary.
