Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data in our company databases and computer systems. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, fast typing skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter and update data in various systems and databases with high accuracy and speed.
• Review data for errors or discrepancies and correct any incompatibilities.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of company data.
• Prepare and sort documents for data entry.
• Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
• Respond to data inquiries and provide requested information.
• Maintain logs and records of completed work.
• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar position.
• Excellent typing speed and accuracy (typically 60+ WPM).
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and data entry software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
