If you're hungry to build a varied and meaningful career in a community of brilliant and diverse minds to make a real difference, there's only one choice.** **Bioprocess High-Throughput Systems Expert** The Bioprocess High-Throughput (HT) Systems Expert role focuses on integrating and maximizing utilization of digital and high throughput technologies within the Biologics DS cluster to increase efficiency, build capabilities, and create impact for product and customer teams. The expert will contribute to development and commercial projects within the biologics portfolio, from laboratory to commercial manufacturing, by supporting implementation and use of high throughput technologies, and be an advocate and change agent for digital data management and implementation within the cluster. **YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES** The primary responsibilities of this role, Bioprocess High-Throughput (HT) Systems Expert, are to: + Designs, coordinates and may also execute studies utilizing HT process development techniques in coordination with project teams. High-throughput systems expert responsible for advancing the knowledge base, operation, maintenance and optimization of systems such as the Ambr 250, TECAN and other liquid handling systems. + Software superuser for electronic laboratory notebooks, process risk assessment tools, and other software utilized during the development and LCM of biological products. Collaborate closely with stakeholders such as DTDS & IT, and other HT experts in the cluster. + Coordinates with cross-functional stakeholders, users and key suppliers of respective devices and systems with the aim of adequate maintenance, system updates, workflow improvement and global harmonization where necessary to ensure the cluster strives towards the aspiration of full electronic data access and analysis. + Participates in process development teams as needed for HTPD and other tasks where software/systems expertise is needed. + Assist, counsel and coordinate project or departmental activities and ensure good communication. Build expertise in the BioDS cluster and train SMEs in the capability clusters. **WHO YOU ARE** Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: **Required Qualifications:** + Degree in biochemistry, biotechnology, chemical engineering or a related field. + Exposure to high throughput systems and HTPD experiment design. + Background in cell culture and/or bioseparations techniques + Applies our VACC leadership behaviors; is an advocate for building digital mindset and HT utilization in the cluster in collaboration with other HT experts. + Demonstrates high self-awareness as well as system awareness + Pro-actively asks for and gives feedback + Demonstrates strategic thinking as well as good business and external trends insights + Focus on outcomes - defines and deliver highest pipeline, team, talent and organizational impact outcomes + Collaborates with accountability - collaborates and holds each other accountable in and across teams + Co-creates for customers - is close to the customer and co-creates solutions for their needs + Acts, learns fast and evolves - works in 90-days cycles, applies learnings fast and continually develops + Is the best self and includes others - respects differences, embraces inclusion and shows up as their best self. + Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $124,000-$155,000 Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
